Christopher is an intelligent, happy youth who loves sports, video
games, and caring for animals. He is a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns.
Christopher enjoys people and engaging in conversations. He is extremely
articulate and able to express his feelings, but he needs help with handling his
frustrations when provoked and teased by his peers. Christopher seeks attention
and will become upset and distracting when he feels left out.
Christopher is making tremendous progress in school, behavior, and overall
functioning. He is enrolled in a special classroom to help him control his
emotions. He is receptive to redirection and wants to learn.
Christopher will thrive in a home that can provide him with consistent
expectations, boundaries, and structure. He responds well to humor versus
confrontation. Christopher seeks and thrives from individual attention--positive
or negative, but will need experienced parents that will avoid power struggles
and help him learn to live in a family environment. He is an active youth and is
building his self-esteem and social skills through sports. He will do best in a
home that will continue to support his participation in extra-curricular
activities. It is recommended that Christopher participate in therapy as he
adjusts to his new home.
