Shanequa Help bring balance to the lives of children all over Central Texas. By partnering with the Adoption Coalition of Texas, you are providing us with the support we need to find permanent homes for the children in foster care in communities all over Central Texas. The Adoption Coalition of Texas is a collaborative effort of five private, nonprofit adoption agencies and Child Protective Services. Thanks to support from the Austin Community Foundation, we are currently operating as one of the foundation's special projects.
There are a variety of ways you can get involved. Our goal is to find a forever family for every waiting child in Central Texas. With an average of 500 Central Texas children in foster care on any given day and another 30 entering the system each month, the challenge continues to grow. Each of our partner agencies works with limited resources. The Adoption Coalition of Texas was formed to unite these agencies in one effort -- to increase community awareness and recruit forever families for children languishing in our foster care system.

This collaboration requires a coordinated, strategic effort to reach out to families across Central Texas and we need your help. As we grow, we will be seeking volunteers to help with recruitment events, such as adoption festivals, and to help us increase our community partnerships.
We are also greatly in need of financial resources. We operate as a nonprofit organization and rely solely on funding from private organizations and individuals to recruit forever families for our children. You can make a difference.
